December 19 - Set 1824We have four black & white and four colour sets on offer this month.

You can order by sending an s.a.e. to the address below or an e-mail to Alistair Douglas at adouglas1@adouglas1.plus.com. Orders received by email can be processed but, unfortunately, payment by post is still required.

6” x 4” prints from any of these sets cost 50p each for orders of 1-19, 48p for 20-49 or 45p for 50 or more, plus, irrespective of size of order, £1.30 towards p&p.

Cheques, &c., should be crossed and made payable to “PSV Circle”. The closing date for receipt of orders is 31st December 2019. Requests for lists and order forms must be made in good time to ensure that they can be returned in time. Prints are normally despatched within 3 weeks of the closing date.

John Walker took these photos of United and Durham District vehicles. No.10 is rebuilt with front entrance, 57,60/3/5/6,71/8/9 are in NBC livery (71 local coach) and 81/2 are overall ad. Some of these were included in set JCW27.

Nos.30/1,79,80 are in a revised livery with more cream relief, 32 has a broadside ad, 41-5 are in Redline livery and 55 is a tow wagon. Nos.81/3 are on hire to Eastern Scottish and 91 to Western Scottish. Nos. 99,101/2/7/8 are at Alexander coachbuilders before delivery.

No.1 is in Swftlink livery, 39,43-50/4/5/9-62/5-8 Guide Friday, 40-2,53/8 Roman City, 56/7 Coast Rider and 81-4 Bright Orange. No.2 is in a non-standard livery, 31 is an overall ad and 51/2,63/4 are cream/green.

Nos.1-4,6,48 are out of use, 14/5 are preserved (15 decorated for Silver Jubilee), 37-9 are canteens, 52 is a tow wagon on trade plates 038DH and 55 is a driver trainer. Nos.40-2/4 are rebodied 54 has engine removed and, in no.49, JDH271 is alongside 881HDH.

Nos.62-7 are in Park & Ride livery (62-5 silver/blue and 66/7 silver/red, 36/7,68 are in the First "Barbie" livery and 20,52,70 are overall ads. Nos.69,76-81/4-95 are open top.

Nos.65/6 are a former Strathclyde RC school bus in the yard but may not be owned by Hunter. No.87 is an overall ad. No.93 is a view of the depot with the coach filling only part of the frame.

No.43 is in Scottish Citylink livery and 72,95 are in the blue Scottish livery. No.52 is an overall ad and 65 has a broadside ad. In no.72 Northern Scottish NPE68 CRS68T is parked alongside FPE61.

No.1 is on hire to Kelvin Scottish, 40 is on hire from Strathtay Scottish, 71 is a driver trainer and 82 is a tow wagon. No.3 is in Ski-Bus livery and 12/4,26,42 are Scottish Citylink. Nos.4,8 (K981 only), 19,24,27 (L814 only),29,47/9,62,83/6/7,90/1 are still in previous operators' liveries (Newton had repainted EAG981D to match JSC882E).

These photos of West Coast Motors vehicles, taken by Alistair Douglas, have been selected from Section 2 of our archive. Nos. 6,7 are an Optare demo on loan and 60/4,81 are open top. Nos.4,5,24-6/8,30/1/3-6,42/4/5/7/8,50 are in Scottish Citylink livery, 58,78 are also in this livery but with name removed, 10/3,15 (C791USG only), 16,22 are still in Stagecoach livery and 8,11/8,27 are all-white. In no.2 M519RSB is parked alongside Oban & District L263/4AAG and in no.81 GYE273W is with P487MBY. No.18 is a view of the depot with R24GNW in the entrance.
